In the book " Twilight of the Gods" in the end Thorolf Hillblad ( a Swedish volunteer for Waffen-SS )says that there is an oil painting of Felix Steiner in the US Military Academy in West Point.

    Is this true?

True, there are several German oil paintings from WW2 there, I believe they were taken as trophies/war booty/loot/etc.

So the real question should be - is it displayed and if so how and in what context?

Don't know if it is on display, but it is in their art collection.
