Somehow the water pipe system that cools the nuclear core, did not work and instead warm water went into the system causing alarm and stopping the plant. They just fixed the cooling system and in one day the problem was gone.

We have altogether four working nuclear power plants to my knowledge that work, two in loviisa and two in Olkiluoto. Then we have three being built.

    1. The first new one was started being built some seven years ago. However, the original builder had smaller firms to do things in tight timetable but as the first of those failed to succeed within the time limit, the rest were not anymore usable and the plant is still just standing there although they say it is being built all the time, but seven years is a long time to do anything ready. The original company was French and they are paying Finland monthly for the delayed timetable which at the moment seems it never will be finished. What a disaster.

    2. two newest plants are under construction, the first for some 2 years, and the latter for a year. The latter is built by a Russian firm.

In a way I fear the Russian plant and how it works. For instance Finland pays two million euros per year so that the sanitation system in St Petersburg works. Otherwise they would sink in their own sh***. Such a huge country and so much inability to take care of things.

    Thanks for the update Kai.

I heard the Russian plant was delayed to secure permits. The Russian VVER-1200 pressurized water reactor looks to be a very safe design with both active & passive safety features, as well as a "core catcher" in case of a severe accident. The design is a great improvement over the RBMK design of Chernobyl infamy.

Just in time for the holidays, Jingle Boobs!

Now back to the Canadian Cable bill problem....Have you tried cutting the cable Poppy, and going with one of those Rukos, Firesticks, external antennae's, etc? Has anyone tried it? Was it worth the effort?

Empirical evidence Poppy. I had several friends that worked at a battery manufacturer...Several horror stories, the one guy was not allowed near his children, because his lead count was so high.

not to mention the horrors of tesla cars.
besides tendencies to run into things at high speed or implode while parked, the vehicles need special containment trucks. the kind where - when batteries reignite- explosion is directed upwards. like an old t62.
there are very few, if any recycling facilities for crashed teslas. the wrecks are chemically and explosively dangerous...fire departments are leary of wrecks.
how does lefty justify large e vehicles.
    brilliant. kalifornia often has brownouts/blackouts.
this is why my cable bill is too damn high.

    Poppy,

I would suggest to wait a while. The hybrid cars are getting better. The pho3 G4 was solď as G5 today and. You only ģet connection where the antennas work.

Using the normal electric systen at home takes 24 hrs to load the batteries. Do you want that?

    The book was "Saudi Bodyguard".

Cargo jets are not meant to take passengers...

The Princess & her husband also had 7 children + extended family, not to mention stupid money.

The take away from the story is that the Princess was the daughter of the Saudi Defense Minister & her husband did the arms deals for Saudi...BAE was dumping money on this family to stay in their & Saudis good graces.

    Bribery will get you everywhere.
