I think you'll find that the term is dark horse, the image was invented by British author and prime minister Benjamin Disraeli in one of his novels in a scene in which "a dark horse that no one had considered" suddenly sweeps past the favourite and wins a race, causing ruin to some key characters

OK. We just call the surprise winner in Finland the "black horse". No problem there.

Btw, as I occasionally play snooker we call the cue ball "the rock". I have heard they call it the "pale" in Eurosport. Well,anyways....

Robert Lewandowski moved joint-second on the all-time Bundesliga scoring list as Bayern Munich won at Werder Bremen.

Lewandowski's 268th goal in the competition means only Gerd Muller, with 365, has scored more goals in Germany's top flight.

And his 32nd league goal of the season keeps former Bayern forward Muller's single-season record of 40 goals firmly in view.

Was anyone watching Denmark-Finland today? Downright scary with Christian Eriksen going down like that. Glad he's OK.

I had just turned it on a few minutes before it happened. I thought he was dead. Just glad he seems better.

I saw his hand jump just like they had a defibrillator on him. I also saw the chest compressions. Glad he's OK.

Messi is out of contract now, and Barcelona decided not to make a new one. I think practically only PSG and Manchester City could afford his wages. Guardiola has refused taking Messi so it would leave PSG. We' ll see soon.

The Barcelona lawyers started a case but that would last months. PSG got Messi.

In only one summer transfer window nearly everything has changed at Barcelona.

Barcelona's forwards now consist of new signings: Dutch forward Memphis Depay, former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, on-loan Austrian teenager Yusuf Demir, De Jong, plus Denmark striker Martin Braithwaite and the injured 18-year-old Ansu Fati, who has been given Messi's iconic number 10 shirt.

Cristiano Ronaldo broke the world record for goals scored in men's international football as he hit his 110th and 111th goals for Portugal in their dramatic 2-1 World Cup qualifying win over the Republic of Ireland.

Now Ronaldo scored twice in his first game after transfer to ManU. Great going.
