i need somewhere i can look up different WW2 Canadian Medals, my grandfather died recently and he served in WW2 and i got all his army stuff (medals,army card, hat, and some other things) and i would relly like o look up his medals, just to get some onfo! Thx
There is a good book: The Canadian Soldier This lists all regimental badges etc as well as all medals. You could also try posting the medals here, alot of Canadian medals were not exclusive to Canadaian forces
If you go to www.google.com and do a search for "Canadian medals" (without the quotation marks), the first non-sponsored hit you'll probably get is the excellent Canadian Government webpage at http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/general/sub.cfm?source=collections/cmdp/mainmenu called "Canadian Military Medals and Decorations".
