Been silently surfing the site for a while. Incredibly interesting. I have been studying Modern US History in college. WWII studies have been fascinating -- the causes, the heroism and sacrifice of young British and American men and women are unparalleled. As a class project, I did a history soundscape with WWII as the subject -- piecing together historic audiclips and writing my own music to go with it (and remixing the period song I'll Be Seeing You). Listen if you can --https://www.acuriousfish.com/post/history-soundscapes. Let me know how to make it better. I'd like to do more of these. as I learn more about the war on this site and elsewhere. Looking forward to participating in this forum. S
Of course! And the Canadians. I will say that in the US, the historical narrative is very US-UK centric.
Cheers Shane. I think this site is a gem. I also recall I at first before joining checked for a while how the site worked. Here we are since 2002. How time flies.
I helped teach the WWII class at Purdue "a few years ago". Randy Roberts was the prof. Check out the links in my sig, and definitely visit Otto's Hyperwar site.
And don't be shy starting threads or asking questions here! That is why we are here to help each other. Cheers!
Welcome. The world was at war. Not just the Britain and its Commonwealth, but also many South American nations, Mexico, Estados Unidos, and virtually all of Europe and much of Asia and the Pacific Islands.
