Perhaps this has been discussed before and I did a rather short search under this heading, but why does it take so long for anything I click on, on anything here, to open up? I hesitated for a long time, to post this, because I am not a contributing member, if I should feel guilty about this. Most times it takes around an average of 15 seconds, sometimes more, sometimes less, for me to see what I have clicked on. Anything. And of all the forums, past and present, (and I have been involved with a lot) this is the only one that does this for my Apple iPad Pro, Safari and iPadOS 15.4.1 as of my last update. I like it on here, don’t contribute in content as some others on here but just curious if I am the only one who experiences this on here, and have from day one. And just for the record, I’m used to it, but just curious as sometimes even trying to get this forum itself to open takes a very long time.

I've been noticing the same, taking a lot longer than it used to.

I use an IPad Pro…and it’s always taken 4-10 seconds to click over…I live in Australia though…crap internet speeds. Sometimes (at least on IPads) having too many applications open can slow download speeds…just my two cents.

Thanks, just funny, like it’s just this forum. As an example, I just got the email in my in box, as I do for a thread on here, and when I clicked on “thread” it took forever to open to get to here.

Sometimes it opens up in a flash and I am pleasantly surprised.

I've noticed the slowness as well. CAC, I'd expect it to take longer if accessing from Australia. You have to figure, if the servers are in the US it's a long ways to Australia, then because you're located in the southern hemisphere everything has to be rotated 180 degrees so it displays right side up for ya'll.:D

Slow ?? I wouldn't know. If it didn't get so damn cold up here I'd swear I lived in the swamps of Arkansas. Our ONLY internet provider is comparable to 1980's dial-up speeds. The best I've gotten was 5mbps and recently it's been 1.8 with an upload of .8 ! Yeah that's a One Point 8 and Point 8 !
If the 4, (sometimes 5 months) of the year weren't so nice I'd actually consider moving. But only running the air condition a couple weeks during the summer and walking 25 yards to the dock to catch fish, plus the nearest neighbor is 800 yards across the lake is nice !

    Something has happened.
Today , at least, ww2f is a quick as the rest of the internet.

Edit. Well it was. A bit a of a lag now.
Not as bad as it used to be.

You are correct. In the early morning it opens fast, but as the day goes on, it seems to take longer. At least that’s the way it has been in the past. Perhaps now it will open fast all day long?

Have you tried sacrificing a chicken to your connection?

A goat sacrifice may be needed.

It’s a bit faster at 1:58 PM Eastern time in the U.S., but still hesitates somewhat. At least at this time it opens faster. But does not post replies, for me anyway. that fast. I went into my settings with SAFARI and cleared what I could find but it did not relate directly to the link given earlier in regards to cache.

I've actually noticed that myself over the last couple days. I finished up making a double post in one thread because I thought the site had crashed.

Seems quick today. Using my phone and only one bar reception. Only problem I had was it depends on which way I turn the phone sideways or vertical? Logged in upright and new post didn’t show nut “recent post” did ; clicked recent and it logged me out. Logged back in and everything is kosher
