Looking for info on 55th Quartermaster Truck BN

    Hello All,

    I am looking for any info that anyone may have regarding the 55th Quartermaster Truck Battalion. My grandfather served with this Bn under the 3360th Quartermaster Truck Company through the entirety of WW2. If anyone had any information on this unit I would greatly appreciate it.

    3360th Quartermaster Truck Company
    55th Support Battalion

    There was no 55th QM "Truck" Battalion after the reorganization. In the reorganization that redesignated the companies of the 2639th Quartermaster Truck Battalion the Headquarters and Headquarters Detachments of the former Truck Battalions were redesignated as separate units - HQ&HQ Detachment, QM Battalion (mobile) and various truck companies or other QM units were attached to them as tasks required.

    The first two records are the Organization charts for a Quartermaster Truck Battalion and a Quartermaster Truck Company
