The largest annual event for ex-military vehicles in the western U.S. returns to Plymouth, California this April at the 49er Village RV Resort and adjacent Amador County Fairgrounds. RV camping and rental cabins at the 49er - no tent camping there, and tent/truck camping at the fairgrounds which is also where the visitor parking lot is. We have a group discount on sites at the 49er. Hotels and restaurants are nearby.

No admission or parking fee. No MV registration or fee. No vendor fee but all sellers must rent a camp space on either side of the event. Anyone may sell military parts or militaria. Swap meet is everywhere. All MVs welcome, any condition and nation of former service. Bring it and we will find a place to display it!

Themed MV showcase displays on Friday are Military Dodges in the morning, WW2 Jeeps in the afternoon, both at the arena at the fairgrounds. Military Motorcycles, Scooters, and Bicycles will be 10-2 at the 49er Village, site to be announced on www.MVCCNews.net and G503.com on the MVCC chat forum. Offsite MV excursion to renowned jeep restorer Jimmy Strauss Jeeps on Thursday. Women's activities. MV Poker Rally Saturday afternoon. Raffle and social Friday evening at the 49er clubhouse.

CP 2019 vendor 2 Clifton.jpg CP 2019 vendor Clifton.jpg The event is promoted by the Military Vehicle Collectors of California. See all details at www.MVCCNews.net on the Events tab. This includes a camping reservation form, Basic Training document, an activities schedule, Event and showcase flyers, RV rental ideas and discount (have a trailer delivered and picked up!), a new golf cart rental program, map, weather report, and more.

Oh sure ! I've finally saved enough for a Jeep and it's 2,000 thousand miles away !!
    Maybe next year.
Looks like a fun day in the sun. Something we haven't had/seen here in a few weeks.
By the way, welcome to the forum.

Yes it is fun. Very social because a majority of the multi-day participants camp at the event in RVs, tents, or rental cabins. I like renting a travel trailer and having the vendor deliver it and pick it up. That way I can trailer my jeep, motorcycle, and sales items.

It takes multiple days to see it all, whether one is interested mainly in the vehicles or shopping for parts or militaria. Participants show up Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, so we have to cruise the whole event daily to see who and what is new.

We are trying to get the news out to new people - MV and militaria fans. There are many military vehicle owners who are not in the organized hobby and not in our MV club (the promoter) or any club and maybe they don't search FB or forums especially for events. So I am hoping some of your members and viewers are in the western half of the U.S. and might want to visit. Maybe influence some who are thinking about a California tourist trip to do it in April and take in our event. That's what some out-of-staters do. We get people from many states and Canada, even Australia, Japan, occasionally the UK and Norway.

Here is an updated flyer showing logos of sponsors for the People's Choice awards at our three themed vehicle showcases.

It is important for people wanting to camp in a RV or travel trailer at the 49er Village RV Resort to not contact them directly. We have a block of discounted sites and you must download our campsite form from our website, fill it out, and send to camping coordinator Jo-Ann. She will assign a site number and put you on a list she sends to the 49er. Then you contact them to book that site. You may contact her first if you have specific needs, like wanting a long one or in a specific location. You should reserve a RV site before March 19 when she turns unreserved sites in our block back to the 49er. At that point you go directly to them and the price will no doubt be higher.

Procedure is the same for tent sites at the adjacent fairgrounds, which at this point have no utilities. Those have been reserved with a wait list. Bring your own shade. By the way, the vehicles and sellers will be on both sides of our venue.
