Bobby (A-58) continues his furious travels with a stop at the The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. Home to several display aircraft, including:
    • B-17G Flying Fortress City of Savannah
    • B-47B Stratojet (jet bomber)
    • Boeing-Stearman N2S-3 Kaydet (biplane trainer)
    • F-4C Phantom II
    • MiG-17
The B-17G called City of Savannah is apparently the only B-17 in existence with fully functional gun turrets. I'll certainly be putting in my trip plan next time I travel through the area.

*Note: The museum had previously announced the name change from The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum to The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force in March of 2013. The change was officially recognized by the U.S. Congress in 2024.

I went to meet my current wife in person for the first time in Albuquerque. We went here because I threatened to cry if we didn't: Home | Nuclear Museum
