Ted Williams is perhaps the greatest hitter of all time but is also controversial and one of the biggest controversies he was involved in was his draft status. From what I understand he was originally classed as 1-A but had it changed to 3-A which meant he was the sole financial support of a family member. I know he was given a hard time about it and eventually joined but their were some bitter feelings about it from all sides. Was Ted in the right or not?
