Now aim to create some new posts on the WorldWar2poetry throughout this year. The blog is still attracting visitors even though there have been no new posts since 2020 so clearly is fulfilling some sort of constructive role.

Pity we don't have spoilers here. I have a few from my active duty days.

I have updated World War 2 poetry blog ( for the first time since 2020 ) with a post about Vernon Scannell's poem about the Cafe de Paris bombing of 8th March 1941.
Post also mentions the death of Kenrick 'Snakehips' Johnson, from British Guyana, who made a huge contribution to the British Jazz Swing scene. Also the issue of looting during the Blitz.
