    Owen sends in our first submission from Finland, coming from the Rovaniemi, Finland. Rovaniemi is apparently the official home of Santa Claus. I'd expect visiting St. Nick in July is probably the best time to do so, seeing as he is probably resting prior to the Christmas rush.

    We had a good visit to Santa, we have a 4 minute long video of our chat with him.
    He said July is a good time go catch up with old friends.

    There is a live webcam there, we waved to the in-laws whilst on the phone to them.

    Relating to WW2 we visited the German war cemetery nearby.

    In Rovaniemi there is a sports centre named after Rommel.
    Rommel sportsfield in Rovaniemi.

    We also visited the Finnish war cemetery in the town.

    We went back there in February this year, 2024.
    As you can see it was -27° C
    I was going to send another card but didn't as I thought @Otto had stopped posting them on here.

    Have a friend living in Lapland. Watched him build his home (via net) there. Impressed with the in-floor heating system. Very smart given the location.
