Saw what apparently was a mini-marathon of Don Knotts movies last night and into the morning. They are: The Reluctant Astronaut, The Shakiest Gun in the West and How to Frame a Figg? It was nice a change of pace.

Rest in Peace Don-you are sorely missed.

I was upset last night with the episode of John Adams. It was a perfect set-up to educate people of both the XYZ Affair and the Quasi War. They missed it completly. I don't think there should have been much, but just enough to make people ask questions about it.

Heh heh, I just barely remembered when Daniel Boone was shown on TV-the very last of the last season as I was barely just out of the cradle. I have almost no memory of the show except for it's theme song-that is-until I bought the first 3 seasons of the show. ;-))

Hi TA, I did get to see it when Ed Ames was on but did not remember it until I saw it on something fairly recently. If im not mistaken, that spot from Carson might be included on the Special Features from season 1? Can't remember but will look sometime to see for sure. It's a shame that Ed Ames left the show after three seasons but, that was OK because he persued a singing career. It's a shame that both Ames and Fess Parker quit acting. Rumor has it that Fess Parker is wanting to get back into acting.
