Not WWII -related but I saw a show on Nat Geo last night about a contagious cancer that is spreading through Tasmanian Devils. Its called Devils' Facial Tumor Disease (DFTD). Pretty grotesque stuff, I tell you.

Also watched "Shooter" a few days ago

Just finished watching "Jonathan Ross Salutes Dads Army" He's annoying but it was nice to watch the tribute to a great show based about the home guard.

Also A Bridge Too Far has just been shown on television, great film.

I recently saw "Escape from Sobibor" on a friends reccomendation. He said it was sadder (and better) than "Schindlers List", which-after seeing it and bawling worse than I did in SPR- I find highly suspicious and boastful. Well, I was right, it was not as good as "S.L." but it is worth watching. A couple of things were off, but over all? It was worth the time to watch.

I also have seen "Sahara" which is really a great movie (The 1943 version, not the 2005 film of the same name) Bogart is great (as usual) and it's really cool as a WWII scale hobbyist to be able to see an M3 Lee in action like that for the entire length of a film.

Interestingly enough, if you live in the U.S. and have cable, Sahara will be shown on
Wed. Aug. 6 at 6:30 AM on AMC So set your VCRs!!

Yesterday i watched the devils brigade great film dunno how historicaly accurate it was but enjoyed it all the same and also bbc2 tribute night to dads army, that series was funny then and still is now but you still get what the series was all about on the serious side and how close to the the real dads army some of the stories were.

Bridge to far on Sunday, I still can not get over that SS officer who carried out the first push over the bridge. That expression on his face was like a toffee nosed stuck up upper class swine as to say I and my SS buddies will kick these British dogs where it hurts, unfortunately for him it was he who got his ass kicked.

Still a good film today if we over look that dodgy German armor. ;)

Quel maledetto treno blindato from 1977 also known as Inglorius Bastards.

Nicely translated to " With armored train to hell " as the movie is called in Finnish...

Well, at least lots of Mp40´s and Germans die like flies....

Ok, worth checking once but not twice, really.

Nothing WWII noteworthy. Plugged in the Clint Eastwood series: "Good/Bad/Ugly", "Fistful of dollars" series.
Also, "Bullitt".....still the best car chase scene of all time.
