    I have a V Mail from my father to my Mother on 4 Nov 1944, he was Driver Barraclough 1504172 or 1804772 18/6 Medium Regt RA, South East Asia Command. Which theatre of war would that have been at that time and any other theatres.Any help grateful.

    He was in 18th Battery of 6th Medium Regiment, Royal Artillery. The regiment was based in India and Burma for the whole war, and from 4 Nov 1944 to 2 Jun 1945 was in the Arakan, under the command of 15 Indian Corps. The Arakan ran down the west side of Burma (which is now called Myanmar).

    The standard work regarding the work of the Royal Artillery in the Far East is General Sir Martin Farndale's "History of the Royal Regiment of Artillery: Vol 6 - The Far East Theatre, 1941-1946". You may be able to get this from a local library.
