Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can find information on the dimensions of a 222 scout car.

    Drake,

A good start would be the Osprey Military book entitled, "German Armoured Cars and Reconnaissance Half-Tracks 1939-1945." Or you could just borrow it from me the next time you see me. A second good source would be the 116th Panzerdivision's website: http://www.116panzer.com/ and ask them. They reproduced one for themselves that I saw at Camp Atterbury last year.

    Checking the net for info...

    http://www.wwiivehicles.com/html/germany/sdKfz222.html

    Leichte PanzerspƤhwagen (2cm) (SdKfz 222):

SdKfz 222 was a modified version of the SdKfz 221 with a larger turret.
There were 7 series. The 1st 5 series had the sPkw I Horch 801 chassis with the 3.5 liter engine. In May 1942, the sPkw I Type V chassis with the 3.8 liter engine.

Early models had an anti-grenade screen on top of the turret. Late models had a redesigned turret which allowed the 20 mm and MG to be elevated almost vertically.
