Leading Airman Arthur Barnes is buried in the General Cemetery in Grevenbicht, Holland. He list listed as serving with 2726 Sqn. Now Leading Airman Barnes is RAF, but what squadron was 2726? I can't find anything on it. I don't believe this is a flying squadron, but some kind of ground unit. He died on november 25, 1944. Has anybody some info on 2726 Sqn RAF??? TIA Stevin
Stevin - i believe he was a member of the RAF Regiment as their squadrons were numbered from 2701 to 2850. hope this helps a bit.
Thanks Mahross! I have found some sites about the RAF Regiment. Nothing yet on 2726 sqn, but I have written some mails to people who might know. Thanks again! Stevin
