I am trying to find information about my grandfather's military service. I know that he completed the 29th Cavalry Regiment, Composite School in December of 1943 at Ft. Riley, Kansas. I know that he worked with horses and went to India in June of 1945. I can not seem to find information on the 29th Cav. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The horsed element of the 29th Cavalry was titled "the Rifle Squadron" and later the 129th Cavalry Squadron

I am a collector of US Horse cavalry and have quite a collection.

Most of the 129th Cavalry "volunteered" for "Hazardous combat assignment in a tropical environment" and would serve in the 475th Infantry Regiment.
