Hello All, I am researching the above person for my book. He went overseas July, 1944 and was KIA/shotdown on September 28, 1944. I have the MACR and photographs of him and his P-51. I am trying to find out if he had any enemy planes shot down to his credit. His group was on an escort mission when he was KIA. Is it possible to determine which bomb group they were escorting and the target. There is a history of the 364th BG written in 1991 but I can't find it. Thanks for the help.
You can take the book information from this link: http://www.worldcat.org/title/history-of-the-364th-fighter-group/oclc/25876169&referer=brief_results to your local library and they can have a copy sent to them through the library-lend program. You'll be able to check it out just like any other book.
The aerial victory database used to be available here http://www.afhra.af.mil/aerialvictorycredits/index.asp but has been taken down. Some time back, I had pulled all the WWII data and have it in an Access database. The name Loucks does not appear in the victory credits list I have.
You can try here for some info: http://www.littlefriends.co.uk/364thfg.php I found this on Fold3; 2Lt Glenn W. Loucks (born in 1916, came from Bergen County, New Jersey) KIA on 28 sept 44, flying aboard P-51D-5NA 44-13962 "Bloody Rebel", macr 9246, ramrod mission to Magdeburg, buried at American War Cemetery of Margraten (NL) Plot M, Row 7, Grave 15 edit; I thought I'd lost this site that list aerial Victories : http://www.cieldegloire.com/fg_364.php Don't see Lt. Loucks though. Hope this helps.
