Tomorrow marks 11 years since Lt. Alger gave the ultimate sacrifice.

    We shall never forget.

    Lest We Forget

Once again I find myself drawn to this Tribute page. We will not and cannot allow ourselves to ever forget those who stepped up.

I'm bumping this today and hope we all remember Memorial Day is not just another weekend holiday.
This year along with Honoring those who gave the Ultimate Sacrifice the odious black cloud of innocent lives lost weights heavy in the USA. Again.

May all those who Rest In Peace forever be remembered.

Taking a few days respite from the human race. See ya all next week.

Seven days after I retired from the Navy, I received a phone call at home from a Captain at the Pentagon. She said I was recommended as "The Guy" that should go to Iraq and supervise the installation of cell phone jammers in US military vehicles to stop those from being used to set off IED's. Unfortunately, that fell through because of my retirement. I'd like to think that if I had gone, I might have made the difference and saved this young officer's life.
