A new book has just been published covering the history of the 319th BG in the MTO.

The 319th BG was unusual in that it flew B-26 Martin Marauders from North African and Sardinia, B-25 Mitchells from Corsica, and Douglass A-26 bombers out of Okinawa during the war.

The book is “Tour of Duty” by Kenneth J. Pekarek, Sr.

The author has used original sources in preparing this history: his own father’s flight log, the Army War Diaries and interviews with veterans.

The book is loaded with dozens of rare photos of the B-26 bombers and other aircraft.

It is available on Amazon as a massive 474-page paperback, or an inexpensive Kindle version with many illustrations in color.

If interested, you can find it here on Amazon:
