I am looking for any information on the 787th medical detachment Field Artillery Batallion. I was told they were involved in the treatment of Nazi concentration camp victims. I'm not sure which one, perhaps Dachau. Any information for my research of the unit would be most appreciated. Thanks!

That is correct. Krefeld and Dachau.. my father was there He received the Bronse Star 13 April 1945 action near the Elbe River, Germany. Dad did not talk much about over there.. but he did tell me once, it was the worse thing he ever did have to do.. The way he and others got along, is they treated it like a job. Others. did not far to well. Here is a photo of Cal Hozzman I believe on the left.. and my dad on the right.. outside Krefeld
