I can trace my mothers maiden name directly back to Andre Marcil dit L'Espagnol. A Catholic who arrived to New France in 1665. Cool.

Old age has always been an omen of death...most were in their mid-80s to early 90s.

How many WW2 vets have died this week, and no news articles were written about that?

Too bad the bishops didn't pray to their god to be saved.

I'm thinking of the MASH episode where a wounded man said he was Christ, and Dr. Freedman, the psychiatrist talked to him.

"is it true God answers all prayers?"
"Yes, but sometimes the answer is 'no.'"
