csp - white bread is better as bread, but brown makes better toast by a mile.

Danyel - ohhh, I sense a long debate here!
I'm a Star Wars man, my wife is a Star Trek fan. ;)

    Oh please Ricky
Everybody knows that it's the other way round  Southerners ;)
Star Wars, of course, at least it doesn't pretend to be scientific like a certain other (cough, cough) science fiction series...

Starwars has a good story, but the acting is terrible. Therefore it's not entertaining.
Startrek is boring. Therefore it's not entertaining.

In my never really that humble opinion. :D

It pays to remember that when discussing Star Wars, I tend to ignore the new Episodes.

In fact, I did not even see Episode III.

I have never seen any Star Trek so I don't know if I'd like it.

I like the Starwars films very much. I didn't pay much attention to 4, 5 and 6 until The Phantom Menace came out. Then I raided Simons DVD collection and I really like them too.

The second one is O.K too especially Samuel L Jackson. (I'm a bit of a fan) :D . I haven't seen the 3rd one yet.

Why ignore them, they are just as bad as the first three if not worse.

    Oh wait... :D

I used to like Samuel L. Jackson until I found that he always plays the same role.

I find Star Trek far too serious in anything done after The Next Generation, and the Star Trek fans I have met seem to take it all too seriously as well (I hesitate to use the term Nerd, but if the cap fits... (Apologees to Mrs Ricky!)).

I prefer Star Wars (Even the prequels), but then it's a completely different approach, more Science-Fantasy than Sci-Fi.

Star Trek : there cruisin around having a normal workday on their ship , sensors pick up something unusual , they investigate and they find some aliens doin somethin , they get hostile , then they talk and settle their differences , they get assigned to next mission, that's star trek in a nutshell.

Allthough Rath of Khan was good , and so was First Contact , and Nemesis , a lot of good battle scenes in those movies.

In my experience, if you call most Star Trek fans a 'Trekkie' and they will say - No, I'm a Trekker.
They will then tell a 'humourous joke' about the difference.
