Bobby's (A-58) domination of the WW2 Forums/Forces Postal Service continues with his tenth consecutive submission to the site (nine postcards + 1 Christmas card). Incredibly, this is on the first time anyone sent in a note from the US The National WWII Museum. This is giving me yet another reason to visit Louisiana when this whole COVID situation is finally resolved.

Actually we (Jeff and I) were kicking the idea of another historical fact-finding field trip when this current unpleasantness descended upon us and ruined a lot of plans. We'll get something going when the all clear (or all clear enough) is given. Stay tuned.

Our fearless West Point trained and US Army Ranger and Airborne School qualified governor of the Great State of Louisiana lifted the mask up mandate yesterday, with “some” restrictions of course. So, maybe a field trip to the WW2 Museum in New Orleans might not be too far off in the future after all.

Sign up to their travel programme and you can send postcards from all sorts of interesting places. Come on the Easy Company London pre-tour and I'll buy you a beer.

Is there a quiet park-like thing near there? Asking for a friend.

Must've missed this one. You’re inquiring about a quiet park like thing near there. Near the WW2 Museum or the French Quarter area in general?

Jackson Square is a park area that is real quiet in the morning before the passed-out drunks wake up. If you can manage to not step on them, it is very tranquil.

I was going to mention that to him when he checked back in. It is fairly quiet and tranquil around dawn in Jackson Square. After the sun is all the way up it’s time to amble over to Cafe Du Monde for some beignets and coffee.
