    Hello everyone,

My family and I are going through a very tough period in our lives right now, and my single mother can hardly support us on what she makes on her 40-45 hour a week job. Neither can I, and we need some help. I know most of you will think this is a load of shit, but for those who don't, please send me an email at darkgate34@aol.com and contribute to our family, which is about to reach the poverty line.

I will appriciate this so much, and I promise someday I will find a way to pay you back.

I thank you once more, SGTMinoso

I too am sorry to hear of your difficulty. I know how you feel because 15 years ago, I've been there.

I can't contribute materially from here. The only advice I can offer, and which sustained me, was to believe in yourself. Do not listen to anyone who says you're wasting your time trying something, what's the use, etc etc....

Everyone's life goes through peaks and troughs. Over here, we say 'it always comes around again'.

    And it does .

    Minoso -

Sorry to hear of your situation. Years ago, me and my kids were there. It was a real bummer. The best advice I can give you (what worked to help pull me through) is that we all have talents. You have to have something that you can do - market it. If you play an instrument, give lessons. If you are artistic, paint and sell your work. If you are learned, tutor kids. Take anything that you know how to do and figure out how you can make a few bux doing it. If debt is your problem, seek help with a certified credit counseling agency (do a google search for NFCC - national Foundation for Credit Counseling) who can link you with a certified, trustworthy credit counselor in your area. Please, please, please do not contact those 800 numbers you see on TV, they are crooks. I know this because I am a former certified financial counselor and have had to prepare many a bankruptcy for people who were scammed by those 800 numbers! (I have my own business now as an artist...the very thing that helped me and my kids survive in addition to my credit counseling job). I wish I could help you out, too, but my family will keep you in our prayers.

    Lisa

Minoso, im in the same boat as the rest of the Gents here. I was in your situation back right after I got out of College-talk about being poor. Part of the reason I was, was due to the fact that I had to pay off out-standing debts that my Brother left as well as I had a Brother who passed away from cancer. Everything I managed to save while in college, went within about 3 months. Thankfully I am no longer that bad off and I wish you the best of luck in standing up and pulling yourself up and out of your current difficulties.
