When I post a message to a thread, I am thereafter sent an email telling me of any new messages, with a link to click on to take me directly to the thread.

So far so good - but I have found, over a long period, that the link only works about half the time: the rest of the time I get an error message and have to navigate to the site using my 'favourites' links. This does not happen to me with any other forum, so I am puzzled - why does it only work for some of the time?

What does the error message say?

I don't recall the exact words - it's the usual 'page not available' you get when a connection can't be made.

Trey making a screenshot next time you come across the error, and post it here. I have a few suggestions, but some of them are a bit long-winded.

Aha! it didn't work this time!

The message I get is a full-page one, headed 'The page cannot be displayed' and the heading on the link tag at the bottom is 'cannot find server'.

I've had that one a few times over the last couple of months - sometimes for up to two hours before the server comes back as well. No idea what it is though

This forum is bugged. Many things about it do not or not always function properly. I have sent the site owner repeated emails urging him to update the forum and fix the errors if possible, but so far this has not had the desired result.

    I am sorry.
