Hi Martin. I'm trying to do some research on my Uncle. Herbert George Bennett, who was a Pathfinder, DFC and bar I believe. He survived the war and went on to work for the MOD. Died around 1985. I just wondered if there was any way I could research some of his war records and where his DFC is now. I believe my Auntie, his wife, Dorothy Bennett, donated his medals to the RAF museum, after his death.

Do you know his Squadron ? There was a Herbert William Bennett on 97 Squadron( Pilot Officer - 561480 ) who was Gazetted for a DFC on 15/6/43...? Otherwise I can't trace much, and DFC with Bar was relatively unusual.....
