Hi, I am puzzled by these abbreviations used in reports like : Three S/S A/A seen at a distance dive bombing a convoy or Three SE E/B seen at distance dive bombing a convoy off These might be covering the same event Any ideas of what s meant here Thanks Serge
S/S might be single seat.A/A might be army aircraft SE might be single engine.E/B might be east/bound Serge introduce yourself.Tell us a little about yourself and your interests. Bob
Hi both of you, Thanks. The abbreviations might be right. Insofar as I am concerned I am an old geezer of 86 years old who was in France during the war and who has for the last 15 years undertook to write about WWII in France (and in Europe of course) and is now writing about the year 1944. That's about it.
