Jo Davidsmeyer has created a very interesting website, They Also Served - Actors with WWII Military Records: Eddie Albert at Tarawa, Charles Durning at Omaha Beach and Malmedy, Jack Palance on bomber raids over Europe, Jason Robards at Pearl Harbor on December 7th ...

Jo Davidsmeyer also has a very nice site dedicated to the TV show Combat!

    Hey Crapgame,
I have a book here at home that lists many many American, British and French Actors and Actresses exploits during World War Two. I was going to post some of them because some are very interesting but I am afraid I might be infringing on copyright and so forth. Am I correct in thinking this way? Or can I post if I credit my source?

Are we really that sensitive about copyright issues? these posts are not making any moeny for anyone so why would it matter to the authors?

    Hi,
A few I can think of off the top of my head:
Brit Richard Todd (Ox & Bucks LI - D-Day) also appeared in 'The Longest Day' as a member of his own unit.
    James Stewart (US air force)
And of course Audie Murphy - US highest decorated soldier.

All I can think of at the mo.
