As you create threads and add posts, please add tags to your reply to aid in future searches. Some threads have poor titles or titles that are not necessarily relevant to content added later and finding appropriate posts can be quite difficult.

Please be as specific as possible when adding tags. General words like "army" "guns" "battle" should be avoided. Instead try using words like "Third Army," "Sten" or "Kolombagara".

Long names for operations also should be avoided as you may end with 200 entries when you start searching for "Battle of the Atlantic" as the search will key on the first word, which in this case is "battle". Instead, try "Atlantic, Battle of".

For items posted on a lot, try to be more finite with when describing what you are talking about. Instead of "Omaha Beach", try "Vierville Draw" or "29th Infantry Division."

Let's try to make the tags feature work for us instead of against us.

How do you add tags? I see TITLE, TRACKBACKS, THREAD SUBSCRIPTION and RATE THREAD. but I don't see anyplace to add tags.

    -whatever

    -Lou

EDIT: Never mind - stupid question - I figured it out - there is ONE tag list for the whole thread (down at the bottom) and we can just add tags as we go with the EDIT TAGS button.

    SWEET!
