Admiral Calhoun's Plane (Bougainville)

    These are pictures from Bougainville.The first picture is of Admiral Calhoun's plane.The second picture had the names Barr and Carlson written under it , maybe someone out there had a relative that served on Bougainville.The third picture is of my dad standing on the right by some barrels, his name was James Miller.The fourth picture, or attachment, is of one of the metalshops they worked in.Would love to hear anything about Bougainville, or about the islands.I am researching my dad's wartime service.He worked on a lot of planes My dad was in several casu units and the 57th scouting squad. I remember him talking about it. It sounded like they went thru hell over there. Sincerely , son of WW2 Vet. View attachment 12655
