Well, I haven't been this "under the influence" in a while. This topic has probably come up 143 times by now, but I don't care :)D )I just wanted to see what the forum members thought as their favorite alcohol.

Beer: German St. Pauli's Girl Special Dark and Jever (has a very delicious nutty taste to it)

Hard Liquor: Gotta say Vodka, any brand, its all good. :D Jaegermeister is supreme as well!

Wine: Any single bottle will due for me! :D

Absinthe is way up there on my list, but, unfortunantely, it happens to be not only out of my price range, but also out of my legality as well :D

I don't drink alcohol. Why not? Because I don't like the taste of it.

"But Roel, surely you haven't tried all alcoholic beverages out there?"
No, that's true. What I have had, I didn't like. Why go on searching if there's so many other things to drink that don't have alcohol in them? As a positive side effect, not drinking alcohol means never getting drunk and lowering yourself to a standard outside of yourself.

People are gonna start thinking that we are the same person Roel.

I also claim years of being the only sober person among drunk people. While very good fun, it has convinced me not to bother.

I now have an even better excuse, anyway. Mrs Ricky has a liver condition & cannot drink alcohol. Or Grapefruit ;) .

Personally I do enjoy a few drinks.

Beers, at the moment Tesco do a good beer, I even prefer it to Bud Ice which until recently was my preferred regular beer. Actually my prefered beer which I occasionally drink is Kronenburg Cru, but it costs £2 a bottle from the shops, so it's an occasional treat.

I generally prefer Cider to beer, in which case I drink Strongbow.

Spirits wise, my favourite is Smirnoff Blue. If I'm drinking a good vodka I don't add mixers or ice, I prefer to be able to taste the flavour. If it's a cheap vodka, then I might add cola, lemonade or something similar (Usually in about 50/50 ratios).

I do enjoy most of the alcopops, but as most of them are vodka based anyway it's usually cheaper and much more interesting to just buy a cheap vodka and a selection of fizzy/soft drinks.

I'm not a great Whisky/Whiskey drinker, I don't like Bourbon, I will drink Scotch or Irish whisky but I prefer Smirnoff.

Same for Brandy, it's alright but give me a bottle of Mr Smirnoff's finest any day.

There aren't many drinks I don't like, I haven't tried Absinthe so I can't comment on that. The one that surprised me was Blavod Black Vodka (Not Black Label, this stuff was black in colour!) it was so disgusting that I poured half a bottle away, I just couldn't drink it.

We have an unopened bottle of 1945 Benedictine, this will be saved for special occasions!

just give me a good London dry gin and you won't hear me complaining (more like singing if we are halfway the night :D )
as for beer, just give me a good belgium beer like "Palm", "stella artois", "Jupiler" (hey, i'm from belgium so it's my right to promote our beers :p )

Good call, Quillin. Gin is not one of my regular favourites, but it is good.

Personally I can't drink Stella, it always gives me a headache. 20 bottles of almost any beer will give me a headache the next morning, but just one small bottle of Stella will give me a headache within about half an hour.

    Guinness Extra Cold
good cognac ( or if it's brandy then put soda in it)
    pastis
and either a very good dry red wine or a dirt-cheap barrel-scraping dry red. (The sort that makes you think the carpet-fitters have been at work on your tongue after half a glass)
    But never too much.

My favourite drink I can get here easily is Malibu either with coke or on its own.

If I'm drinking beer I like anything that doesn't have a chemically taste. I love Guiness and when I was pregnant I had cravings for it. Bit of a bummer really considering drinking alcohol when pregnant isn't a good idea.

I don't like whisky or brandy either to drink or the negative effect it has on some people.

My favourite drink that I have ever tasted is strawberry corn that Simon had from when he lived in Germany. Yummy yum yum!! :D Shame I can't get it in England, but probably just as well.

Ah, good choice chap. Vodka is an easy drink, although with the hangover I had earlier, maybe I shouldn't say that.

I think I wanna go hurl just reading that!

I have heard of a Cannabis flavoured Vodka, I'm gonna order that next time I got $70 to blow.

Good old Phillips, been a staple for my friends and I quite some time. Goes great with Mountain Dew. I can say that I've never gotten sick of gin, however, its a much different story for my friends :D

What, like the smokable form?

The one I always wanted to try but have never been able to track down was a special batch of vodka made using Ice cores taken from the North Pole that had been frozen for 250,000 years. It was mentioned on day time TV, and unfortunately I can't remember the brand or anything else about it  .

As for Mrs Toastinator, actually her favourite drink is whatever I happen to be drinking, doesn't matter what it is or where it is, for some reason best known to herself she will always make a bee-line for my glass! :D

Drinking age here is 19 , but a lot of people in the middle and high schools still drink.

I have a friend in Belgium and she says shes old enough to drink and shes barely a year older than me.

Sorry CSP I don't know how old you are but I wouldn't be too quick have too much to drink if I were you..

I know we have all done the 'head down the toilet' thing at one time or another but believe me it ain't nice. :)

The real art of having alcohol and enjoying yourself is knowing when too stop. :)

Blimey, I sound like somebodies Mother!!
