    Hello

Were the squadrons of the bomber planes, the same that dropped propaganda flyers?

    regards,

    Cnock

The bombers were better equipped to drop flyers than the cargo planes, the only two types with the capacity to carry the crates of flyers.
If that didn't answer your question give me a little help. Always glad to help people understand things better.

For the Brits, yes, they were generally the Whitleys and Hampdens of Bomber Command, to my understanding.

Flyers travel in seats, not crates.

I remember a movie where they did a speed drop of the fliers, they dropped an unopened crate and hit a search light. MUCH better aim than was common at the time IIRC.

From memory a crew member would stuff bundles of fliers down the little chute used for dropping flares.

Somewhere I have a copy of the RAF yearbook 1940, it has an illustration of this. If I can dig it out I will scan and post

    Hello,

were propaganda leaflets not dropped over occupied territory by Operational Training Units?

    regards,

Normal bomber squadrons were used, as far as I know. Particularly early in the war before the RAF actually started bombing Germany
