Not sure what you mean. Do you mean Allied camps for German POWS in Germany? During or after the war? And what do you mean by "trapped"?

yes, i search allied camps ( or pen's) with german pow's in the last month (April 45) till ~1946 in germany!
Hmm, big pow camp's see on Wiki i know. but there were so many other and they are nowhere listed.

    An example:
near my home place, was also a camp with 100,000 *caught* (??) ->german soldiers
This is nowhere listed... ??? What I do not understand, but it must provide documents or so.
this camp is not to find in wiki, too....

    *sorry my english is ...:D*

    Links

The above requires you to register.

Not a pow site but of interest to other members maybe, researching into German army individuals records and deaths.

Folk in Remagen get a little ticked when asked about it. I found that out myself about 10 years ago on a visit.

The Remagan camps house a few stories regarding ill treatment of German troops after wars end.

    Hi,

I "hear" you! The types of camps and lists are confusing and hard to find. Here is a site with a lot of information and includes POW, foreign workers, concentration camps as well as DP camps:

Displaced Persons' (DP) Camps Table of Contents

I am looking for two camps.
    1. My family was sent to a foreign worker camps for about two weeks in Wuppertal
    2. My Grandfather was sent to a POW camp right after the war since he was a displaced person in the British zone - but I don't know which camp. He was working in the Luneburg Heide at the time and the rest of his family was not interned.
