It's finally here. Long in development and planning, the WW2 Open Resource Group is now open. Un-officially launched today (June 6th, 2016) this new site will serve two major functions. One role will be an online lexicon of the Second World War. This will be a comprehensive encyclopedia for people, places, events, and machines of the Second world War. A major emphasis will be biographies of WW2 veterans from all ranks and nationalities. No level of "fame" is required for entry on the site, any veteran who served is a worthwhile topic. Another function will be to archive Second World War historical materials. The site will be used to to aggregate all manner of primary source research materials. The site will be edited by selected members from two of the largest WWII discussion boards. The WW2 Forums and our sister site WW2 Talk. The site is early in the building stages, but we've already begun to populate information on the site. Take a look at the site at WW2.ORG.
