Hello everyone, My member name is jsparry and is based on my real name. You can call me John or use my member name. I'm 41 and from California. I love all military history, especially WWII, and the Civil War. I have spent lots of time researching WWII paratroopers since my grandfather led a battalion in the European Theater and I wrote a book about his journey. The strategic military games are a blast, but I find that I quickly become addicted so usually try to avoid them. One of my hobbies is running a website for the WWII veterans of the 505 Regimental Combat Team, 82nd Abn Div. They are a great bunch of guys and it's sad to see fewer and fewer of these great men at each successive annual reunion.
