A great deal of information is available about Panzers but very little about artillery. Did German artillery tactics differ from those of the allies? If so, how?

Hello DUB: Can you please go into more detail with your question because i'm not sure if I can answer it correctly.

The Germans rarely massed Artillery but thay did have Artillery Division sized units.

As far as tactics goes: A wellknown tactic was they they substituted the famous 88, as an anti-tank gun and found they had an excellent weapon.

If you can be more specific, I can help you.

I know precious little beyond fire planning for a tank or infantry unit, so most anything will be enlightening. I am struck, however, with the fact that most German Infantry divisions had horsedrawn artillery. There was also a reliance on regimental level infantry support guns that the allies didn't really ever figure out how to use. There consequently had to be considerable difference in tactics between the armies. This is what I'm seeking.
