With the shortage of soldier the Third Reich needed more boots on the ground. They recuited non-arians into there rank.

There were quite a few Asian in the German army. NOt just Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. That is odd.

One of the Chinese soldiers that was within the Nazi Army was the son of chinese nationalist leader Chiagng Kai Shek, Chiang Wei Guo. He was a lieutentant and particiapted in the invation of Poland in 1939.

Pretty much a well known fact that the Germany military, especially the Waffen SS, had quite a few NON-Aryan troops. Ya might want to do a search of the threads on the subject. It has been discussed here quite a bit and there is alot of information to be found here on the subject.

Why is it weird? They were desperate. And as I stated earlier a well known fact. Did you think they were all just blonde haired, blue eyed, Supermen?

The symbols of the Indian Empire united. Hindusm, the Tiger of Bengale and the green ribbon representing the Islam minority (now Pakistan) .

The reverse is representing the sun trying to shine through a broken prison that symbolises the British administration.

Cheers, many of these men were captured in Britanny when they couldn't retreat further west. According to the locals, some had brought their own little horses and some behaved like criminals, looting and raping, to the point that the Germans had to stop them and station them in smaller units where they had no contact with women, except prostitutes. I have the testimony from a former Resistant who was locked up near Vannes , a German would post letters for his familly because he thought the asian guards were too hard with the prisonners.

The picture I posted is frequently used to say, "The Japanese sent troops to help the Nazis in Europe!" :pP_minigun:

Notice the troops' expressions? "Who the hell is he?"

How well , I've heard worse. :D A nice anecdote: some soldiers were caught in 1944 with Soviet rifles that they took with them when they were "Liberated" by the advancing German troops in 1941 and chose to volunteer in German units.
