My son entered a regional science competition with his peers and other schools to re-engineer a basic Estes Alpha rocket. The competition was open ended, without any kind of recommendations. He narrowed his selection down to two platforms, deciding on the BA 349 Natter Interceptor over the Me 163. He took first place receiving two awards. The unit with the number 22 markings is a test mule which was repeatedly badly damaged from crashing in glide test flights. Considerations were reviewed to include the four external boosters, but were tabled with timely ignition concerns and project schedules.
