So what? I wrestled 3 bears before breakfast today, and breakfast itself was a bowl of 20mm MK103 rounds on rhinoceros blood. Afterwards I threw a fart that brought down the court building. And my day is just starting. :tiger:

Maybe we should inform the WWF about this? I mean the bear can touch you but you cannot touch the bear!

    :D

Thanks :D Anyway, Sambo is a Russian martial art, home brewed in the Soviet Union. There's a good article on it in Wikipedia.

I once did a seminar with Sambo expert Oleg Taktarov. He beat me with no hands in about 4 seconds, very humbling.

Sambo is nasty s---. I have worked out with Gokor & Oleg Taktarov. Oleg used no hands & had my neck in snapping position in about 4 seconds. Very humbling stuff. Oleg mentions the Russians giving the Germans a serious spanking during the war in the hand to hand combat segment of the war.

    Enjoyed them, thanks.
Been dropped by similar stuff before, interesting feeling.
I reckon that chubby bloke on their 2006 trip to Russia might qualify as pretty 'Bad'. [IMG]
    Cheers,

Well, that was fun. Some of it staged, but fun anyway.

Head on down to Gokors, ( the Armenian assasin ), Erich on Sunset blvd next time you're in L.A. for a bit of fun. If you're old like me, you'll want to preschedule some chiro visits ahead of time.

I once made the mistake of going on Judo night. Gokors studio is the number 1 Judo school in the USA bar none. All the youngsters were blue to black belts. I noticed none of the regular adult crowd was there. Anyway, I got wrecked, we did throwing drills & I only got one tie all nite. My back hurt for a 2-3 weeks. What could be more fun than that Erich?

Decided to go on the regular training days instead after that.

I like those videos, "ok enemy soldiers, please attack in a nice flow, one at a time please!" It's almost comedic. :D

Gokor is well known in the MMA world chrome, but he is more of a trainer than a fighter. Some of his students have competed to some success in the UFC. Oleg was a class A fighter, but that was about 7-8 years ago. Today, no-one comes close to Fedor, he is a supreme competitor, and skill level is unmatched, Gokor, Oleg, Cro-Cop, Tim Sylvia all these don't compare.

I've always been a fan of the mighty Kazushi Sakuraba. He is the most exiting fighter in my opinion, the biggest heart and the biggest balls of anybody...

Sak is awesome. What many don't realize is Gokor had 400 no rules fights & won em all. That's in addittion to his Judo sambo titles. He did have a tough fight against a Thai boxer once, his leg was sore for a month.

I went to Vitors school when he was with Carlson Gracie for a while many yrs ago. We thought Vitor would rule the world, then along came Randy Couture.

To me, in the world of MMA there is Saku, and then there is everyone else...

Gokor is a pimp, I've heard some great things about him, he is one of the sports' pioneers. Gene LeBelle is great too.

In an interview a few years back someone asked Vitor about his recent conversion to Christianity, the question was when did he first "see" Jesus. His answer was that when he fought Randy, he saw both God and Jesus! :D

Believe it or not, your own WWII Forums webmaster has climbed into the ring/cage a few times. I've only fought about 10 times both amateur and pro, and I've been lucky enough to have never lost. I train with Shonie Carter, Brian Gassaway & a bunch of other Chicago based fighters. WWII & MMA are my two great passions.
