Hello all, I am a 42 year old American Photographer, and I have begun a project that may interest you.

When I read the news that Major Winters of Easy Company, 101[SUP]st[/SUP] Airborne died this past January it prompted me to make a trip to Normandy to photograph the battlefields and put words to the images written by the veterans themselves. I call this project; “Battlefield Cant” and I photographed the landing beaches, and battlegrounds of Normandy in April of this year. Armed with history books, maps and my 8x10 Deardorff I sought to capture these sacred grounds and present them in an exhibition of Platinum prints.

Since grants are hard to come by these days, I self funded the first leg of the trip, but am now setting my sites on the second leg, to shoot in Belgium, and Holland. I have set up a Kickstarter Campaign to fund this trip. Kickstarter is an all or nothing new way to fund creative projects and the best part, you help out Battlefield Cant, you get photographic rewards.

Please feel free to look at the project, and also let people know about it. Getting the word out will help tremendously.

Thank you very much, and I hope you enjoy the photography.
