Does anyone have more info or can someone confirm this data:

"Unfortunately some military genius had forgotten that the three huge ammunition dumps on which the defences really relied in any resistance of more than four days lay outside, in the Jungfernheide Volkspark and in the outer reaches of the Tiergarten and Templehof. All of these were quickly overrun." ( After the major attack had begun in April 1945 )

Berlin was doomed but would Berlin defence had been truly helped by better ammunition reserves?
