    who knows

hard to say since theres no way to factor for skill, training, and guts. however i have heard good things about the system the USMC has put together. its not something you would take to a tourny but it does seem to work. i understand its judokareteboxingbarfightstreetbrawl based however.

That makes sense. As far as I know, while those skilled in some form of martial arts can be very dangerous, they have also been taught to fight by certain rules and may find themselves surprised by people who are fighting by what is most expedient. Therefore a combination of skill and crude improvisation is probably best.

I studied Judo, then HapKiDo ..

The combanation works, with, like you say, some improvisation.

A fellow I used to know that was skilled in martial arts said he would rather fight someone of comparable skill to himself than a good streetfighter. The streetfighter would be far more unpredictable in his view.

    Not me..

I live in DC, we had some big m/f who were on the Presidents Secret Service detail.

They out classed all but some of the CIA guys.

    killers I tell ya..

As far as it goes, the 'street fighters ' around here are all in jail, 10 years for assault. Usually they are only a bunch of dumb drunks.

when i was a teen groin up ..it used to be "see that guy over there,he only weighs 120 lbs but look out he is a fith degree black belt...well u gave that guy a wide berth ,right..then bout 15 years ago i started watchin these unlimited no holds bared octegon fights,,,well ,funny thing ...black belts aint sheet...all the kung fu an karate guys got their asses beat...turns out what works is ju jitsu an good old wrestleing.u watch these guys now and they can punch, kick and grapple into a bone crushing choke hold in seconds...also i learned why boxing is much better to watch.two guys rollin on the floor is not pleasant to behold.but it is what always ensues if there is no guy in a bow tie pushing the fighters apart.bruce lee ,mike tyson and even ali would be crushed in minutes by these $10000 prize fighters, without the referee to protect them from a royce gracie death grip ,,they are toast...dont belive it go rent 10 hours of video ,,then tell me...
