Surpirsed with all the music interest that no one has asked this.
So what is the best live bands that you've seen?

for me I have seen 4 mainstream bands

and in rank order it would have to be

1)Rammstein: Amazing performance, great atmosphere and brilliant pyrotechnics

2)Soulfly: Again an amazing performance, and good atmosphere

3)Skindred: One of the funniest shows I have ever seen and deffinately one of the most interesting mixes of music(Raggapunk)

4)Jethro Tull: I never appriecated the show because I only just started to discover music and it just didnt have the same atmosphere as the others but it was still a good show.

But enough about the bands i've seen, what groups have you seen?

LOUD! Your ears buzz for a couple of days after seeing them play live.

I've seen them a few times, Lemmy sent me a T shirt when my son was born so that he could be brought up in the 'faith'.

    lol, that would be cool.
Soulfly was like that, I came out of it with bruises ect.... from being at the front and in the mosh pit. But it was well worth it.

You were lucky then. the best mosh pits from what I've seen are at Lamb of God concerts
they do what's known as the wall of death, where they split the crowd in 2 and they run into each other

Lamb of God are ironically a Heavy/Death metal band, personally i like them but i doubt many people on here would.
On a side note i might be seeing (a re-united) thin lizzy next month(obvisously without phil lynott)

OK I Googled, I found them and I listened to 11th hour, they remind me of Slipknot. I'm not sure about the lead singers voice.

Of the bands I've personally seen in concert:

Pink Floyd, obviously. Very professional, great sound!

Rolling Stones, believe it or not. The old buggers could still deliever a great gig. Mind you, it was 15 years ago I saw them.

Joe Satriani. Can't remember which tour, but it was a long time ago, and he had with him Stu Hamm on bass.

Saxon. If anyone knows or remembers them.

Accept. Possibly the best concert I have ever attended.

they are much heavier than Slipknot (slipknot rock though).
Skua and David I envy you both for seeing Pink Floyd.

    Skua.

"Talkin' 'bout those wheels of steel"

Incidentally, they have the dubious honour of being the band that inspired the hilarious Spinal Tap.

    When did you see them?

I saw them in 1985, when they still had some musical integrity left I might add, but I understand they're still going on.

David, how could Saxon be the inspiration to 'Spinal Tap', I thought the movie was about as old as Saxon was?

I'm really wondering why there are so many Pink Floyd fans on here. I have only heard two of their songs so I cannot really say anything about them, but those two songs were so deeply and utterly dreadful that I'm completely prepared to condemn these guys as a whole on the grounds of those two songs (The Wall and Bike) alone.

Enlighten me please, as to why this band would appeal to you.
