I have played COD, all of them and medal of honors and they just seem to get boring now. I really lied the Band of Brothers game that was released not so long ago, havent bought it because im not sure if its worth it and would like to know if it was worth it or not. Also i have played Battleground Europe which is a great strategic game and I would like to have a game like that and bascially if you guys have any ideas.

Try a game called RISK. Old school low tech. Get some good friends over , some root beer and play all night long.

As far as FPS goes, they are the only ones worth mentioning.. but as for others have you tried out

    Hearts of Iron 1, 2,3 ?
    IL2 Strumovik?
    Silent Hunter?
    Company of Heros?
    Men Of War Red Tide?

One must try Hearts of Iron (2nd one is best in my opinion). It may overwhelm you at start but once you get used to it, its guaranteed that 100s of your hours will be wasted.

Then, for FPS try Red orchestra ostfront but don't bother with single player.

I really liked the Close Combat series, especially Close Combat 2: A Bridge Too Far, which was and arguably remains, among the best RTS games of any genre.

For WWI I liked Soldiers (at least I think that was the tital). In the period between the wars Russian Civil War was good (both from SPI). There's a new game out on the Polish Soviet war that looks pretty good and uses the same system that has won awards for its WWII games (I forget the titles right now).

My favorite stragety game would be R.U.S.E. on Xbox 360. Which is a really great stragety game I still play even today. Played COD seriers....nah, doesn`t interests me at all. My bro likes it but not me. I`d prefer R.U.S.E. over it 110% deffiantly for sure. BattleField and COH beats way more than COD series.

Ah, yes. The old Avalon Hill games. I remember A&A:pacific battles that would take us days to complete.
I believe the computer equivalent was Op:Art of War. I found the graphics quite interesting in close-up combat. The artists would have some of the infantry units battle it out in hand-to-hand.

World of Tanks, War Thunder (think it's free) Battlefield series (huge download). I'm still a fan of the Close Combat series on the PC (oldie but goodie)
