We had gone to a 4th of July fire truck parade somewhere in south/southwest Penn. (Started the day at TMI.) We had six cases of beer in the trunk, one for each of us. One case got missed and we remembered it just after Thanksgiving. Tasted terrible. All 24 cans. Thus reinforced we took off looking for something to get us into trouble. "Borrowing" an Amish buggy did the trick. (Dirty trick squad, the horses only responded to commands in Germanish.)
@JJWilson , I should mention you are in good company. John Moses Browning served a two-year mission with the LDS Church, stepping back completely from weapon design during that period. When he returned he increased his level of production significantly, producing a multi-year flourish of designs and patents.
I appreciate you bringing up Mr.Browning Otto, nobody really seems to bring up the fact he was a member of the church.
