    This is really sad to hear. Rest in Peace Bill :mourn: Now as far as im aware of, the British have only two WWI Vets still living. The USA has only one-last I heard.

    Not to sound ghoulish but, I wonder how many WWI Vets from all participants world-wide; are still living? I would sadly hate to bet-not more than 20-r even 10 for that matter. ;-(

    Carl, there are less I`m afraid... just 7.

    Four english, one australian, one canadian and one american.

    There is also a Frenchman. However, he is not considered - officially - as a "veteran". To be a veteran in France you have to complete a certain time frame at the front. This man arrived in the frontline in early November 1918. Despite being the last French witness to the trenches of the Great War, he is not considered officially a veteran... crazy.

    Oh my God... that's absurd. From the 7 men I stated, only 3 saw actual combat; the others were just trained. I wonder what the french people would call those...

    Do you know his name?
