Hi guys, does anybody ever played Blitzkrieg 3? If yes, what do you think of this game, his playability? Is it realistic? Can you compare it with Company of Heroes 2 or Wargame Red Dragon? Thanks for your help! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qZUlYNIXOk
Good questions, it looks like a great game, I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. But I played the first two back in the day and enjoyed them. This looks like a potentially more realistic version of COH2. Excellent walkthrough, too.
I remember playing the first version on my PC a few years ago. I really liked it. But right now, I am wondering if this third version is worth buying because I own Wargame Red Dragon that is already a very good game. It's not about the second world war but very intertaining for hours.
Yes it's true that you have a lot of units to control at the same time. I agree that if we had less, we could spend more time with each of them.
I played the original Blitzkreig back in the day and was not overly impressed with it. Build a mass of units...Send the mass against the enemy...Build another mass of units...Wash...Rinse...Repeat. Not that much different from other titles: Age of Empires, Warcraft, Command & Conquer, StarCraft, Empire Earth, etc. Of course, they gameplay could have changed over the years. I much preferred the more intimate Close Combat series. Smaller battlefield & limited units equaled a better focus on tactics rather than mass.
I didn't know this game Takao. It seems very interesting. Do you know if this game can be played on a Mac? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJl1eA_2Yz0
I don't think so. You would have to get a Windows emulator. Slitherine Ltd. has a good selection of Mac war games: http://slitherine.com/games_search?platf=15 Battlefront.com has their excellent "Combat Mission" series(but, not much else) on the Mac: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=28&Itemid=26 Matrix Games has a small, but good looking selection for the Mac: http://www.matrixgames.com/products/?p=19&a=3
Loved the Combat Mission series... I loved Normandy 2.0, at some point I'll probably break down and shell out the cash for the update.
