    Hi all,

I am new to the forum and would like some advice.

I want to learn more about the start of the war and why certain countries entered.

Has any one got any suggestions of book to start with?

    Thanks
    Billy

"1940 The Fall of France" by General Andre` Beaufre is an excellent read.

For a personal view, I would recommend Shirer's Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. You also could look at Shirer's Berlin Diary.
